You are so tender, and sensitive, You have handled so many changes this past year and you love every moment of it. You are the best brother ever made. I love watching you with your sisters. You love them so much. Lucy is your bud, your little sidekick and you love having her there right by your side. There is a bit of an age gap but you guys are so close. Phoebe loves adores you, she lights up when she sees you. You are the only one that can get her to smile and laugh. There is no way I could have done this past year without you. Heart to Heart

Hello my little buddy. So I have felt super busy and you are getting big and doing so many activities. I thought I would have a little chat with you. I asked how you are doing, you said good. I asked you what your favorite thing is right now, you said your birthday. I asked you what your not favorite thing is, you thought really hard, and said I don't know. I said that is a good thing. You said good question and walked off. Than I found you sitting in the laundry basket watching TV, so I think you are good.

Heebie Jeebies

Oh boy this one is a good one. Dexter has been into treasures and collections. He has brought so much stuff into the house that I made a basket for him to put all his collections in. I came home from the store and you started telling me about this catepillar you found, he was weird and dead. We sat down to eat our dinnner and you got excited about your caterpillar again and started talking about it. You went to your collection basket and plucked out that dead caterpillar. Your showing it to me and talking about it. Suddenly that dead caterpillar moved in your fingertips. You screamed the girliest, loudest, shrilliest scream and threw that caterpillar on the floor. Dad grabbed it and threw it outside. You were terrified. You kept checking outside to make sure he was gone. You kept getting shivers every time you thought of it. We kept teasing you about it. When we were laughing and you, you told us this is not funny. We talked about bringing bugs into the house. You said that is was your fault. But throughout the night you kept getting the heebie jeebies and shuddering your shoulders.

It's safe to swallow

Dexter it the poster child of commercials. He remembers everything he sees. One day he kept telling me about how Lucy needs a toothbrush even though she is little. He kept telling me that it is safe to swallow. Of course he saw this on a commericial. He kept bothering me about it. I told him he could get it for Lucy for her birthday. Right after that, what commercial is on TV, the baby toothbrush and toothpaste. I assure him we will get it later for Lucy's birthday. Dexter says, "Good idea." Later that night Dexter and I went to Walgreens and what is the first thing he sees, the toothbrush and toothpaste. Dexter begs for it, we get his sister his gift 3 weeks early. I love that Dexter always thinks of others. Most kids would only find things that they would want, but Dexter is always thinking of other. I thought it was so cute that he wanted to get this for his sister Lucy. When we got home, he wanted his and Lucy's pajamas on so they could brush their teeth. Dexter taught Lucy how to brush here teeth, and every few nights he always remembers to brush her teeth.

Worm Cakes

Oh boy buddy! You just keep coming up with everything. Today we were working outside in the yard. You were so excited we found 3 snails. Did you know snails have a shell to protect themselves from predators and creatures. That is the fact that you gave me. You were spending most of your time digging through the dirt looking for treasure. You found worms and than made worm cakes. A big pile of dirt and worms in the shape of a cake with a piece of wood on it for a candle. I went inside to take care of Lucy. You came in and asked me if I would like to join you outside. You have the biggest vocabulary.
