Everyone has certain challenges that they will constantly deal with in their life. You at the age of 4 were able to understand one of your Daddy's challenges just last night. Curtis has struggled with the Word of Wisdom throughout his whole life and will probably always continue to fight that battle. I only hope that he will always talk about his experiences and teach you with that. That is one thing that my mother did, she taught through her experiences and always showed us. I hope we are able to do that for you, rather than hide you from everything.
Curtis and I were talking about his struggles and you were there to witness it. You were so worried that it brought you to tears. You told Daddy, why do you do that and to be careful because it is dangerous. I don't think you fully understand what it was but you knew that it was not good and it was amazing to me that you used such a big word. I have never heard you use dangerous before and that was the word that you used to explain to Curtis. It was so touching and it hit hard. You little guy are teaching your Daddy and showing us what great understanding you have.
I started explaining to you the process of repentance, which was just your last lesson in primary. You completely understood and than you asked if Daddy was going to be able to fix his problem. Than you went to sleep content with everything.

My Mom Said................
Today at church was quite a funny day for you. First off it was your 1st primary program. Your part was "My love for Jesus Christ grows when I pray." We have been practicing it for 2 weeks. Dad even got you a toy airplane for you if you did it good and loud. There were only 2 kids that knew their parts and you were one of them. You did it perfectly. You sure made your parents look like they know what they are doing. So cute!
Today in primary you were quite the outgoing one. They sang the Foolish Man. After they were done you said, my mom says the rains came down and the floods came up. You had to share that your mom said that. You sang it for the full primary, solo.
Than they were singing more songs, you blurted out I know twinkle twinkle little star and once there was a snowman but I don't know that song.
Than they were teaching about Jesus walking on the water. You were like, my mom, no my dad, no I told my dad that story. Which was just the story you and Dad had studied the night before.
Than they were talking about the temple and you blurted out. I once went to the big temple and when I was done I went to the little church and got a cookie. (that was when you went to Oqquirrah mountain temple open house)
Today in church you were quite vocal and needed to share things.
When we came home you told me that Wyatt was being hyper to you.
Funny boy you are and you really did so good on your part. You love primary so much and your little testimony is getting so strong. I love that you already have your own testimony and you know about Jesus, Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost. Did you know when your daddy was little; that his parents told him that if you do not have your own testimony that he should just borrow/use theirs, I thought this was the saddest thing I have heard. You do not borrow someone else' testimony. You find your own, that is one thing that no-one can take from you. That is the strongest most sacred thing that you will have through your life. I never want you to use mine or Dad's testimony those are ours and they have helped us through so many things. I want you to use your own testimony. It is yours and yours to help grow. You take good care of it and make sure you always have your own. I know that you have a great testimony already even though you are only 4 years old. It really is a strong testimony. The other night we were reading the story of Joseph Smith praying to know which church was true. You said no churches are true. Than you said but our church is true. You already know and your testimony is so strong. You are a smart kid.
Every night when you pray, you pray for Jesus and Heavenly Father. It is so fun to watch you understand and grow your testimony. You have your own and I hope you can always help it grow and always rely on it throughout your life.
